I have a 5010 series device, but I suppose the method is the same.
Mine is running WinCE 5.0 core and the GPS software is v.3.0 black.

Here is how I do it:
- power up the device;
- go to "system";
- go to "sys info";
- go to "usb";
- click on "active sync connection";
- make sure ActiveSync is installed on your Windows PC;
- connect the device to the PC using the provided USB cable;
- start AtciveSync and it should auto-detect your device.

do not have ActiveSync mode by default.
DO NOT upload firmware, cause it is broken on manufacturer site, and you will leave with white screen gps device.

Just install inną mapę or smth other software.
